Prof. Dr. Sylvio Barbon Jr. is currently associate professor at University of Trieste, has a degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering, a Master and PhD in Computational Physics from the University of São Paulo in the field of Applied Computational Physics. During 2017 he was a visiting researcher at the Universitá Degli Studi di Milano (Italy) and developed a post-doctoral project at the Universitá di Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). He was an adjunct professor in the Computer Science course at Londrina State University and a research productivity fellow at the Araucária Foundation. In 2021 he was a visiting professor at the Universitá Degli Studi di Milano (Italy) lecturing a Machine Learning course. His research area is focused on Intelligent Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition
